I come from district Mahendragarh of Haryana, a very small village Kanwi. Got first lessons of life from a joint family and under watchful eyes of my Grand Mother. Humbleness is the gift of parents and specially the unassuming and self satisfied mother who inculcated the cleanliness early in my life. Unambitious and self-satisfied is the reflection of the father and makes me grounded always.
Outdoor activities, reading and playing cricket always fascinate me and when I don’t get time reading books I compensate listening on YouTube while walking and travelling. I really love meditation as and when I find time and always try to look back and improve in life.

It was always fun to play with my childhood friends in the village playground and walking and strolling in the evenings in the green fields and a nearby canal. College days were the best one where I not only performed well in academics but also played a lot of games and specially the cricket.

The army is the first love for most of the young persons in my neighbourhood and even I wanted to join army and went for interview at Allahabad but unfortunately I could not make it. After coming back I joined DAV College Chandigarh as a lecturer and taught geography for some time there. My uncle, a former IAS officer and present day MLA, motivated me to join civil services and accordingly I started preparation. I cleared IAS prelims but could not make it to the interview and on the same year cleared Haryana civil services exam and joined the service in 1999.

Later on I was promoted into IAS and got 2011 batch. I got married in year 2000 with Yashika, who later on joined judicial services and presently working as Additional District and Session judge.
